The documentary photography is changing. Young photographers explore the many possibilities of new media. They place the photos in a broad context and linking discussions, blogs, sound and film to their photo series. They see themselves as entrepreneurs and continually ask themselves how to survive and still retain their individuality. Where is this method going to? Are they pragmatic and do they lose a unique view of reality? Or does this just brings in special partnerships and contextualised artworks?
Femke Lutgerink, artistic director of FOTODOK, thinks the latter and presents her views on this evening.
A debate led by writer / writer Chris Keulemans with: Arnold van Bruggen, Rob Hornstra, Annelies Kuiper, Lex ter Braak and Bass Vroege.
